Angela Melito is an Italian artist and curator based in Sweden. Her background bridges visual art, craft, and curatorial practices. Born in Naples, she studied Fine Art at the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in painting in 2017. After a short period in Japan, she moved to Sweden in 2018 where she completed an MFA in Craft (Ceramics) at HDK-Valand in 2020. In 2025 she completed the post-graduate programme Curating and Commissioning Contemporary public art from HDK-Valand. Since 2022 Melito has run Detriti Gallery in Göteborg, a space dedicated to experimental curatorial approaches and emerging artists.
